Amanda Vilenica-Field's classes are most strongly influenced by the Radiant Light Yoga style taught by Adam and Akash Bornstein.

 

Classes are designed so that each individual can find their own 'edge' within the practice.

We remain respectful of our bodies throughout, never pushing, forcing or straining, realising that our bodies are in their perfect place right now and that all of life can be a gentle progression.

The principles upon which this style of yoga is based are:

A heart focus – of teaching and learning with an open hearted quality.  Energy awareness – an emphasis on allowing our energy awareness to grow.  Assisting each individual to find the pose that best suits their body, never forcing a person into a pose.  Awareness and instruction of safe and proper alignment.  Sharing the teachings of yoga in a progressive manner.  Creating a safe, respectful, supportive and loving space.

 

This style of yoga is most easily explained as a Hatha vinyasa flow based style of yoga.  Its essence is in the Hatha poses but that a vinyasa flow is incorporated into the practice. The practice steadily increases in intensity, almost like we are climbing to the peak of a mountain and then gradually we decrease the intensity and meander back down. We do this while embodying the bhav (the feeling) of yoga.
